Bronchial catarrh - acute

Frequently strong cold prevails with beginning of a bronchial catarrh. Accompanied by coughs. White or yellow sputum is a further Symtom.

Symptoms:
Cough, white or yellow sputum, with frequently strong cold at the beginning.

With aged persons with lung congestion due to cardiac insufficiency bronchitis develops, because the tissue of the lungs and bronchi is not sufficiently nourished. With them the danger of a pneumonia always exists:

Usually fever is present, however with aged persons it can be missing.

Respiration accelerated, nose wings extend when inhalation, pulse 80 - 130. If such symptoms are present, suspicion on pneumonia exists. Fever 38 degrees Celsius.

Accompany symptomes: Headache and wound feeling on the chest.

Therapy:

Avoid warm clothes and overheated room. Warm apple wine (or cheap wine). insert a pieces of mol clay/tone cloth, then put on the chest, over it a fleecy towel and on it a hot-water bottle = the bronchi become free.

 Application of tea

WHITE DEADNETTLE Flores lamii alb.
With catarrh of the upper respiratory tract.
BREW: 3-4 teaspoon white deadnettle blossom are poured over with 150 ml hot water and filtered after 10 min. by a tea filter. Drink a cup ful of freshly prepared warm tea several times daily between meals.

Tea prescriptions

Eibisch root 40g, liquorice 15g, violet root 5g, hoof lettuce leafes 20g, mullein 10g, anise 10g
Pour 1 teaspoon with boiling water (1 cup), let stand for 10 min, 3-4 cups daily.
